Blog Header Design

Blog headers should be simple, right? Most people don't put that much thought or effort into their headers on their blogs - but they should. Despite what you may think, there's more to your blog then just the content; looks actually do matter here. And your header is what's going to grab the visitors' attention, so don't you want it to be appealing?

You want something that's going to be memorable, and something that will represent your brand or business or have some kind of relevance to whatever it is your blogging about. You want it to give the people that visit your page a feeling - make it give them some kind of emotion when they look at it. Is it warm, cold, professional, classy, happy, or boring? What do you FEEL when you see your header?

So stop hiding. If your business is about you and your name and you're trying to make a living from that website, then you need to quit hiding, put a picture up of you and make your header stand out.

Look at some of those headers and incorporate the ideas into one for your own blog. Use a picture of the writer or at least a picture that incorporates something to do with your blog. Your header is the first thing that your visitors will see - right at the top of your page, so you want them to notice it and remember it. Be creative and have fun and make it something that nobody can ever forget.
